Factory brake system equipment:
Front axle:
– brake rotor w/ 420 mm in diameter, 40 mm thick (cast iron)
– 10-pot Akebono caliper

After thoroughly studying components of this brake system, we did a comparative analysis of the standard and existing carbon ceramic brake rotors geometry.
And no matter how badly the Bentley marketologists wanted to fence off they dear automobile from the folksy brand (VW), the closeness of their platforms allows the Bentley owners to use standard brake system components, used for Porsche.
Let’s look at the components of a standard brake system, front axle.
– standard brake rotor 420 mm diameter, 40 mm thick
– rotor made out of cast iron, has a directed ventilation, aliminum hat, and rotor clamp on pins
– brake rotor weight is 21,040 kg, it’s a record weight among the cars.

Porshe carbon ceramic brake rotor:
– Size 420*40

– brake rotor weight is 8,110 kg

The brake rotors’ geometry is absolutely identical, which allows it to be used with a standard brake calipers, you just need to change brake pads and brake rotor to CCB.
Attention!!!
Carbon ceramic rotor is 12,93 kg lighter.
Decrease of a brake rotor weight of a front axle brake system is 25,860 kg in total!

It is a bit more complicated with the rear axle …
Standard brake rotor:
– Size 380*30
– Rotor made out of cast iron, has a directed ventilation
– brake rotor weight 12,500 kg.

After doing the analysis of existing carbon ceramic brake rotors for possible geometric compatibility, we found a solution in using carbon ceramic Porsche brake rotor size 410*32, yet, due to increase of a brake rotor’s size we need to use a brake caliper of a different geometry, used in Porshe and CCB brake pads.
The caliper needs to be colored, and from yellow it turn black with the Bentley logo.
