Carbon ceramic brake system set for BMW F90
We are installing carbon ceramic onto BMW F90
Standard brake system on BMW F90 consists of
front axle:
– blue color 6-pot Brembo caliper with a logo ///М
– brake rotor 395-36, perforated with directed ventilation
– brake pads
rer axle:
– brake caliper with a floating brace
– brake rotor 380-28, perforated with directed ventilation
– brake pads
The weight of the front cast iron brake rotor is 15,1 kg, rear one – 9,6 kg.
Carbon ceramic system consists of:
– front 6-pot gold color Brembo caliper with a logo ///М
– carbon ceramic brake rotor Brembo 400-38, perforated with directed ventilation
– front brake pads
– rear brake caliper with a floating brace
– carbon ceramic brake rorot 380-28, perforated with directed ventilation
– rear brake pads
The weight of the front carbon ceramic brake rotor is 7,3 kg, rear one – 5,2 kg.
In total we made the front axle 2 * (15,1 – 7,3) = 15,6 kg lighter, and rear one 2 * (9,6 – 5,2) = 8,8 kg lighter.
Total “weight loss” is 24,4 kg
Brake liquid DOT 5.1.
The weigh of the standard front brake rotor is 15 150 gr.
The weigh of the standard rear brake rotor is 9 635 gr.
The weight of the left carbon ceramic brake rotor from the front axle is 7 360 gr.
Minimal left carbon ceramic brake rotor weight from the front axle is 7160 gr.
The right carbon ceramic brake rotor weight from the front axle is 7350 gr.
The minimal weight of a right front rotor 7147 gr.
The right rear carbon ceramic brake rotor weight is 5202 gr.
Minimal weight of the right rear axle carbon ceramic brake rotor is 5 117 gr.
The weight of the left rear axle carbon ceramic brake rotor is 5 220 gr.
The minimal weight of the left rear axle brake rotor is 5 091 gr.
The weight of the front brake caliper and pads BMW F90 is 7 775 gr.
