Installing Mercedes Benz C209 63 AMG brake system onto W124

A bit of phylosophy for You..

Modern cars stopped giving you an inspiration, they are like soulless playstations with LED screens and laser headlights..
And here it is a challenge in a brake system, like a balm to our souls — Е500 W124.
Our client voiced a hypothesis that rear brake systems of Е500 W124 and C209 63 AMG are a complete match.
After drawing out the rear knuckles we realised that it is true!
I guess designers were not bothered to invent something new..
Matching the geometry of rear brake rotors we clearly see, that rear parking brakes system is also identical, apart from the dust shield and the additional opening ( there are a pin in a W124 hat)
Just mark the rotor and create an opening with an 8,5 bit.
When we baught all kinds of shields, we realised, that nothing would fit.
The problem lies in the W124 desigher’s serious approach – the shield fully covers rear rotor to the maximum!

Используя проставку из ДСП и старого тормозного диска равномерно закручивая колесные винты добиваемся зазора между диском и защитой 3-4 мм.
Then we get the shield in order, degrease and then paint it. 
New reinforced Goodridge brake lines , that add rigidity to the hydraulic circuit.
