Brake system kit review on BMW E70/E71/F15/F16/F85/F86

Platform BMW E70/E71 F15/F16 F85/F86.
In all the geometry of knuckles and hubs is identical.
Thus, on before mentioned cars you can install following brake kits:
1) Kit №1 — Sports braking gear retooling kit M-Performance, in substance it’s a braking gear system of BMW X5M E70 (X6M E71)
Primitive 4-pot caliper is a significant drawback.
Front axle:
— brake rotors 395*36
— 4-pot brake caliper
— brake pads
— brake lines
— wear indicator
— protective covers
— all the necessary fastening screws
Front axle weight is 54 kg!
Rear axle:
—brake rotors 385*24
—1-pot brake caliper w/floating bracket
— brake pads
— brake lines
— wear indicator
— protective covers
— all the necessary fastening screws
Rear axle weight is 32,5 kg

2) Kit №2 — Brake system of BMW X5M F85
It’s different from Kit №1 as it contains high-tech brake caliper and original M brake pads are used.
Though, there is a fly in an ointment.
Laziness of a BMW construction engineer (otherwise I can’t explain why) was the reason why the geometry of brake pads 395-36__385-24 BMW X5M E70 and BMW X5M F85 absolutely identical!
Apart from the adjusting screw hole of rear axle.. which makes no difference..
So, this way we have a very wide brake rotor blade and an increased weight.
Front axle:
— brake rotors 395*36 on studs, perforated and w/ directed ventilation
— 6-pot brake caliper

— wear indicator

— all the necessary fastening screws
Front axle weight is 50 kg!
Rear axle:
— brake rotors 385*24, perforated, w/ directed ventilation, aluminum hat, working part of the brake rotor w/ heat expansion compensation

Rear axle weight is 29 kg.

3) Kit №3 — Tro-nik brake system
Front axle:
—brake rotors 400*36 on studs, perforated and w/ directed ventilation
Pay attention, the brake rotor of a bigger diameter, 400 vs. 395 (mm), though 3kg lighter! (34 11 2 284 101,34 11 2 284 102, 34112284101, 34112284102)

c) High temperature BMW brake pads w/ increased friction rate. Suitable for an extremely active riding and for powerful cars.
“В” variant is used on many different cars w/ over 800 HP.
