The very first carbon-ceramic brake system for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan in Russia

False modesty aside, it’s a great pleasure to work with a car of so many car owners’ dreams.
God damn it, it’s a brand new Rolls-Royce Cullinan!!!

First of all, we want to express our gratitude to the owner of that beautiful car for he trust they placed in our company.
To get the measurements done the Rolls-Royce Cullinan came to us on a tow truck.
The odometer was showing all zeroes, and only bit of fresh snow gave away the fact, that this beauty did only 10 meters to the tow truck to make it to us.

The first impression is alwys important, but the question is who is looking at whom?
The look, that Rolls-Royce Cullinan in it’s “eyes” expresses preeminences!!
In my opinion, the Chichester’s deigners nailed their job 100%!
The first thing, that blows your mind – is this car’s size.
It’s huge, and no picture and no video could give you the real sense of it.
Minimalistic exterior only adds to the feeling this car brings up in you, that it is made to BE, not to just seem as.
Radiator grill is made of stainless steel, the body of this car out of alluminum alloys.
It is practically impossible to find BMW parts, all it’s parts made just for it personally.
Car’s interior is luxurious yet composed, there is no gypcy-ish tint, no pseudo constructivism.
Let’s get back down from the cloud nine and move on to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan brake system.
Here lays the big flaw of the BMW company.
Studying the catalogue even before the measurements were taken, I realised, that the brake rotors
– front axle has a 395 (мм) diameter, and is 36 (мм) thick. ОЕ 34116887397 / 34116887398
– rear axle has a 398 (мм) diameter, and is 28 (мм) thick. ОЕ 34216871258
are used for 7-er G12.
Front axle brake calipers have their own part numbers, but it’s just two silver colored letters RR painted on the caliper’s body.
Rear calipers are completely identical in their usbility with calipers from G12.
It seems as if they reckoned that the RR owner would be unexperienced, the brake system is practicall invisible behind the luxurious wheel discs.
The specification instructs to use the most modern brake system components to install on a car. The front axle gained a brake rotor with a 440 (mm) diameter, and is 44 (mm) thick.
Brake caliper Akebono has 10 pots of different diameters.
The brake pad is, at the moment, of the most advanced design – with a “suspension” on a pin.
To reduce the likelyhood of unwanted sound effects (creaking, squeeking, etc.), there is a huge 400 gr. weight is secured on the caliper.
The hats of the brake rotor are traditionally made of austenitic stainless steel 12Х18Н10Т.
Fron adapters have quite a large axis Z deviation, which is why we decided to use steel with potective zink coating.
We design protective covers, cut them out from AMG3 with a laser and color them with a powder paint.
Brake lines are traditionally Goodridge.
